Alan and I have been contemporary Catholic music partners for four years. Our communities began to ask for recordings of music they had heard during worship. You Are Child is the product of that request. Containing works previously published by Christian composers, we have chosen songs that speak of our spirituality as children of God and the growth God fosters within us through the gift of ministry and friendship. We have chosen the sculpture of "The Awakening" by J. Seward Johnson at Hain's Point in Washington, DC for the photo backdrop to enhance the image we hope to portray; that we are all God's children, formed in His likeness and held gently in His hand.

Alan Marcinek is currently liturgy and music director for Corpus Christi Catholic Mission in South Riding, VA. He has been a music minister for the Catholic Church since the age of 13.

Catherine Benskin is NPM Certified. She currently splits her music ministry between St. Rose of Lima Church in Gaithersburg, MD and St. Raphael's Catholic Community in Rockville, MD.
